Megyn Kelly Rachel Maddow In Catfight Over 'Today Show' Job Is Made-Up - Gossip Cop

Megyn Kelly and Rachel Maddow are not in a “catfight” over the “Today” show’s third hour, despite a wholly made-up report that wrongly speculates Maddow is moving to the NBC morning show. Gossip Cop can correct this fabricated feud. We’re told it’s not true.

According to the National Enquirer, the “TV divas” are locked in a “toxic feud,” as Maddow is possibly set to take over the “Today” show’s third hour. A so-called “source” tells the outlet, “Rachel is NBC’s new golden girl! She can do no wrong, and the bosses have big plans for her future, including adding her to the morning show.” The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to claim that after Kelly’s prime-time Sunday show “tanked in the ratings,” they’ve moved on to “red-hot Rachel.”

The magazine’s supposed “source” further contends the “Today” show will introduce Maddow “slowly,” putting her on the morning program “once or twice a week.” Then, the network is allegedly planning on “increasing her role until she’s a full-time member of the ‘Today’ family.” To create more drama, the outlet maintains Maddow is “jealous” of Kelly, her so-called “nemesis,” and the “mountain of money she’s making.”

Let Gossip Cop debunk this fake news. A source close at the “Today” show assures us the story has “no truth to it.” Maddow’s MSNBC show is getting some of its best ratings of all time, and she has no intention of giving up her own evening program to move to the sister network’s morning show. Additionally, Maddow is not in any kind of competition with Kelly, and NBC’s plans for Kelly’s 9 a.m. show are still moving forward. The report is completely made-up.

Not surprisingly, this manufactured article is coming from the same publication that falsely alleged Kelly was feuding with Kelly Ripa in March. Written in a similar style to this latest tale, the supermarket tabloid wrongly claimed the pair were in a “vicious catfight,” but of course, no such battle took place. Once again, the Enquirer has concocted yet another imaginary feud between two female TV stars.
